What began as a simple backyard hobby—filming my children playing with a mini‑DV camera—quickly grew into something more. While watching them invent games, it struck me that their play could become a story. Fortunately, my kids and their friends loved the idea and jumped right in. That early spark led to my first short‑film script, and my boys soon found themselves drafted into my growing passion for storytelling. By then, I had upgraded to a digital photo/video camera, and even grandma and grandpa were recruited for roles, though both politely declined to memorize their lines.

From there, the journey expanded. I asked a friend who made handcrafted soap if she’d like a video for her website. Thankfully, she agreed, and that became my first true infomercial. My skills—and my equipment—have grown exponentially since those early days. Today, I have the confidence and the tools to film almost any topic, in nearly any genre.
